Hey, New York City! What's new?
I'm Daley (@ecodaley), one part of a large attempt to encapsulate how some of New York's greatest food and clothing security resources are actually trailblazers in the sustainability movement. This is due in part to the natural duality between capitalism and community.

While my role is largely as the research and moderator, here's a bit about me: I am a native New Yorker and was born in Hell's Kitchen in 2000, I majored in Environmental Studies with a minor in Poverty, Inequality, and Social Justice at UCSB and am a recent college graduate, and the food system and clothing industry are the two areas I am most passionate about studying.

Sustainability is often presented as inaccessible and unaffordable. While reducing the shame of resource access and promoting more circular lifestyles for individuals of all income levels, this project aims to prove that many security resources are already sustainable and community-building practices that we should be proud of.

Increasing accessibility to sustainable food and clothing security resources for low-income New Yorkers, particularly those in the Gen Z to Millennial age range, is crucial for the longevity of our community!
Thank you!
